Benchmarking the australian printing industries

Benchmarking PLUS, in association with Negotiaction, has assisted the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) to provide a benchmarking service for firms operating in the print based industries. 

Called “Printnet Benchmarking Online”, the service allows any firm to see how they measure up against others in the industry.  They do this through on-line access anywhere, anytime to a password protected website.

The service also includes summaries of leading practice in key areas of managing a printing industry firm:

-         Getting and keeping profitable business;

-         Making effective decisions on investment in technology

-         Getting effective utilisation of existing facilities

-         Minimising overs and spoilage.

These were developed after considerable search and industry visits.

Benchmarking PLUS helped the PIAA to design the project from first principles, and continues to support the Printnet benchmarking Online facility.
